Crazy Annabelle

We took Annabelle out to dinner for her birthday last night. We went to Red Robin where she got to meet Red Robin (or someone dressed up like him) and give him a high five, and where she got a free dinner and sundae. They also sang to her, she acted a little shy at first but really loved the attention.

With a recent trip to the doctor, Annabelle has been playing hospital, or as she calls it- hopital, a lot lately.

She listens to her heart and her tummy

and then wipes off her tummy.
I'm pretty sure she got that from coming to my doctor appointments when I was preggo and watching the doc listen to the baby's heartbeat. Very observant.

Annabelle has been very in to putting make up on lately and that is just what she did while drawing with the new art stuff her Grammy and Papa got her for her birthday.

Even though she did a beautiful job, thank goodness for washable markers!

The Last Month

So I'm really bad about updating the blog so there are a lot of random pictures in this post. I am also going to do another post right after this one. These pictures are from the last month. Annabelle helping Daddy do the dishes

Krisalynn absolutely hated her first couple baths. She likes them now, she kicks and splashes, but she still isn't to fond of getting out and dressed.

Annabelle loves her little sissy, in fact sometimes too much. She likes to lay next to her sometimes on her. She does sometimes get a bit to excited and the clenched jaw and squeezing come out, but she is very good and loving to her baby most of the time.

And yet another nose picking picture

My little sunshine, she is so happy most of the time and a very good and easy baby. Her little tongue is out a lot, just like her aunties was when she was a baby.

Krisalynn's boo boo face.
She's got it down just like her big sister

Cute little smile

Sitting like a big girl

One Sunday afternoon I was exhausted so I took the baby in my room to take a nap and when we woke up this is what I found. Too cute!

Ice Cream Face!
Annabelle loves her sweets

This is a picture of Krisalynn at 5 weeks inching forward. She actually moved herself forward!
I wonder if she is going to be an early crawler

The naked bandit!
Daddy let her run nakey for a few minutes after bath

The Boogie Song

My little princess apparently has a bit of a boogie obsession, it could have something to do with her inheriting her Daddy's allergies. The poor girl has had a runny nose for over two weeks now, so we have given her what she calls a boogie rag (a burp rag).
This morning she was playing her little learners guitar singing her heart out when Daddy told her she needed to go wipe her nose again. So Annabelle got down wiped her nose and then continued playing her guitar but this time singing about her boogies. The song consisted of phrases like "my boogies", "my nose again", "boogies in my nose", "wipe my boogies". I wish I could have gotten it on video, it was so cute and the face she was making while she was singing was priceless!

Diamond Boogies

Those of you who spend any time around Annabelle know she has a new fascination with picking her nose. Or maybe it's just her thing she does when she's bored, or being shy, or just trying to be funny. Who knows, but needless to say her finger is in her nose a lot throughout the day. So I have a couple of funny stories that have to do with her picking her nose.
The other day I was nursing the baby and Annabelle, as usual, had her finger in her nose. A few minutes later she came up to me saying, "Oh no! A boogie!" And of course I had put the tissues up on the table earlier because she was helping herself to them and quickly emptying the box, and I picked up and threw away all the loose tissues. I also shut the bathroom door because she has been getting into trouble in there. So I had no where to send her to get something to wipe it on. So because I didn't want to interrupt Krisalynn's meal I told her to just flick it off. I needed to vacuum anyways. So she did, in fact she thought it was hilarious. So for the rest of the day whenever she put her finger in her nose she said "I flick it off!" And if you ask her she will still say it for you. Isn't that horrible! I taught my daughter to flick her boogies!
And her other boogie story happened while she was talking to her Maga and Papa on the phone. Lately she has been wanting to talk on the phone, and she actually talks some. The other night John had to go up north for work and stay the night so they were talking but the phone cut out. She was very upset and wanted to call him back, so we compromised and called her Maga and Papa instead. So I called and put the speaker phone on, she talked for a little bit and then stopped. My dad asked if she was done, she said "No! Not yet!" I told my Dad she was busy picking her nose. He asked her if she was digging for treasure and she answered "No, diamonds!".
I have no idea where or how she came up with that. The only thing I can think of where she might have come up with diamonds is in Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, one of her favorite songs. Who knows, you never know what goes on in the mind of a 2 year old.

Family Pictures

Our friend Veronica took our first family pictures with our newest addition and she did such a wonderful job! Thanks again Veronica, the family LOVED the pictures we gave them for Christmas. This is my favorite picture of Krisalynn, she looks so sweet and peaceful.

Our early Christmas present!

I love this picture too! Annabelle was very excited to hold her baby sissy all by herself.

Awww my beautiful girls!

I'll be posting Christmas pictures in the next day or so, John is off work this week so I should be able to spend some time working on the blog. Also if anyone wants copies of the pictures let me know, I can email or send them. Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas!

Krisalynn Elizabeth

I'm sure most of you have already heard about Krisalynn's arrival, but just in case here is the info. I started having consistent contractions early in the morning on 11/22, I timed them all morning and they kept getting closer. So I called John to let him know since he had to work out in Hemet that Saturday and then called the nurse. She suggested I go in and get checked out, so off we went a little before noon. After monitoring me for a couple hours the gave me the option to go home and wait a bit or they could admit me and the doctor would break my water. So obviously we decided to stay, I was very ready to have her. They moved me to a labor room around 4pm, broke my water shortly after and Krisalynn was born at 10:37 pm. She weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 19inches. To mine and the doctors surprise she came very quickly, no more than 10 min of pushing. She came out sunny side up, facing the doctor instead of the floor, John later told me it scared him because her face was purple when she came out. But she was just fine and beautiful!

Krisalynn did have complications later. She was running a low fever, her heart rate was high, her breathing was fast and she was having blue spells when she cried. This worried her nurse and doctor so they ran lots of tests and xrays and after two and a half extra days in the hospital she was released, just in time for Thanksgiving. The nursing staff was so wonderful and did everything they could to let me stay with Krisalynn. They were such a blessing, I don't know what I would have done if I had to leave her. It ended up that she had fluid in her lungs and thankfully a couple days of antibiotics cleared it up. So we had an extra special Thanksgiving this year with plenty to be thankful for.
